A Dyson repair assessment is easier to prepare for when the workshop has the model, symptom and relevant attachments. Contact Phone Medic Milton before travelling with an unusual or older machine, or before sending a vacuum from elsewhere in Queensland.
Start with a short fault description
Write down what happens, when it began and whether it happens every time. Include the mode and attachment involved, any warning message or light pattern, and checks or repairs already attempted. “Runs for a short time after charging” is more useful than assuming “needs a battery”.
Use the model checklist if you are unsure which vacuum you own. The repair guide directory can help you describe the symptom without dismantling the machine.
Match the parts to the problem
| Reported problem | Relevant items |
|---|---|
| Charging or short runtime | Main body, battery and charger. Include any charging connection or dock involved, if the team asks for it. |
| Poor suction or repeated pulsing | Main body, wand and the head or attachment used when the problem occurs. |
| Roller or cleaner-head fault | Affected head and wand with the vacuum body, so the combination can be checked. |
| Bin, catch or physical damage | Complete main body and any detached pieces. Avoid attempting to glue or modify the part before assessment. |
For a Milton workshop visit
The workshop is at 105 Milton Road, Milton QLD 4064. Call 07 3368 1772 to confirm opening hours, current turnaround and any assessment charges. Empty loose dust using your model’s normal owner procedure where safe; do not force a damaged bin or attempt a deep clean that could affect the fault.
Tell the team which accessories belong to your machine. A short written list is useful if several parts are being handed over. Do not include unrelated personal items.
For a Queensland mail-in enquiry
Arrange the assessment with the team first. Confirm the model can be considered, the items required, the delivery address, packing instructions and return arrangements. Do not treat the website address alone as authorisation to send a parcel.
If the battery is damaged, swollen, leaking or unusually hot, do not charge it or put it in the post. Tell the workshop before making transport arrangements. Follow the team’s advice and the carrier’s requirements; this guide is not a shipping approval.
Before approving a quote
Ask which fault the work addresses, what parts and labour are included, the expected timeframe and the warranty terms. If you may have manufacturer cover, check with Dyson before independent work. Phone Medic is not an authorised Dyson service centre.
Start a repair enquiry or call the Milton workshop. Photo sharing can be arranged by phone; the existing enquiry form collects repair details.
